Senior Year looms

So I sit here preparing for my next class and wishing I hadn't taken any classes this summer.  Oh well, I face my "Senior" year with some trepidation.  This is the time I polish my work and prepare for a proffesional reel.  To that end I am looking forward to editing several shorts and helping the directors prepare to enter festivals around the country.  Join me for what is likely to be a roller coast ride of emotion as I prepare to re-enter the "real world" and find a position that will accept my quirks.  After all, isn't that what getting a degree is all about?

I really can't answer that question because I spent 10 years working in various industries trying to make ends meet at home.  I had thought I had made one of those a career only to find out that I was no longer usefull and my company downsizing.  It was clearly time for me to return to school and persue my old dreams.  I leapt into classes at CSU, after successfully transfering my credits from WSU, with all the vigar of a 20 year old.  So much so, my classmates always guessed my age wrong.

Two years later and several digital video, different from 16mm film, projects later and have regained my confindence and built some amazing friendships.  As I continue to learn the Avid MC program my new film friends are entrusting their babies to my care.  I just thank the powers that be for my extremely talented husband.  He is my personal IT consultant and built my Avid workstation.  So, here goes nothing!
